Feeding

Everybody loves babies. They are very cute, very cuddly, and when they smile, it just simply completes your day. But have you every wondered how difficult baby feeding could get? And not mention how messy they can become?

Full time moms can attest to the fact that feeding babies can be quite a challenge and enjoyable at the same time. Sometimes, most moms would prefer feeding their babies on their own, rather than their own babies doing the messy stuff of feeding themselves. But professional baby experts suggest that your babies actually require exploring their foods at first. This allows your babies to learn more regarding the different tastes and textures of their foods. The thought alone of considering this fact draws concerns to most moms, especially the ones that want their living spaces away from messy stuff. So what is the best way for feeding baby, minus the hassles of worrying too much about the mess?

Protecting your baby’s clothes with good bibs is a great way. When you baby starts feeding himself, using “coverall” bibs, those that are sleeveless, is very practical. If the weather permits, enjoy feeding him without his clothes on. That way, your baby can become comfortable and not to mention very cute to look at. Another thing to avoid those unwanted mess is to place covers on your floors. Because babies are placed and secured on their high chairs, the probability of your floors getting some mess is very high considering the fact that your babies’ food can easily splatter around. A good way is to invest on splash mats that are specifically designed for babies’ high chairs. However, if you are resourceful and creative enough, try using your shower curtains or liners. Not only are they very easy to clean, but they are big and nice ones, too! But if you find your baby’s highchair very difficult to clean and maintain, try investing on high chair covers.

Consider also placing suction pads under the bowls of your baby, so it can easily be attached to the trays of their high chair. This will not only prevent their food from spilling from the bowls; but it will also help the bowl getting thrown out from the tray.

Placing a generous serving of food in your baby’s bowl is also helpful enough. This lessens the mess on your floors. The food that is placed should be enough for him to eat. Also, serve him with food that is easy to handle. Meaning, your baby should not have a hard time scooping the food by himself. Try foods that contain great thickeners, like egg yolks are mashed, silken tofu, and wheat germ. Avoid soups and other liquid based foods because they are very difficult for your babies to handle and manage, especially if they are just beginning to feed themselves. When his meal is done, try to invite your family pet to help you do the cleaning.

Feeding babies are indeed very fun. This will not only help moms, especially the new ones, to observe how their baby interacts with new things around them. But this is also a great way for moms to spend quality time with their young babies.

Orient yourself with the basic of baby feeding so you will not have a hard time dealing with those unwanted mess. Also make it a point to feed your babies with the proper foods, complete with the necessary dietary supplements. Remember that they are growing kids so properly feeding them is the key for them to grow healthy and away from unexpected diseases.

Feeding your babies can really be challenging but once you get to have the hang of it, you will be surprised at how enjoyable and fulfilling it could be.
